Happy Friday! When I packed for our Boston/Nantucket trip, my biggest secret was sticking to a specific color scheme. Right now, I’m really into neutrals, blushes, mauves, and basically any shade of pink. It made putting outfits together a LOT easier and ensured that everything in my suitcase could mix and match to create tons of outfits. (You may remember having already seen this turtleneck as a part of this look!)
Right after we checked into our hotel, 76 Main, we headed out to explore the town. (I’ll be sharing a review next week, so stay tuned! It was sooo charming!) I was really excited about exploring the quiet little town. There are basically hydrangea and blooms EVERYWHERE. So, you know. I was obviously in love. I was so glad that we visited in the off season… we got to really enjoy the town and explore without crowds or tons of tourists. When we grabbed lunch or dinner, we always were able to sit immediately. Basically winning.
The weather was so beautiful when we were there! I always always always have a jean jacket with me… jean jackets are the ultimate go-with-everything piece. This one has gotten so much wear, it has more than earned its place in my wardrobe. It wasn’t really that cold in Nantucket at the time, so as I was wearing the turtleneck sweater, I opted for a lighter layer.
A lady in the street literally stopped me to compliment the skirt and ask where I got it… as she was emerging from a store haha! It’s a great buy and really soft and comfortable. It has a slit on either side, which is a bit surprising but is really great because it’s still tasteful. I was like, girl, it’s $14.90 from Forever 21. Get it.
Right now, I am LOVING taupes… the taupe Sole Society booties have been on major, major repeat… and the GiGi New York Kelly bag just goes perfectly with it. Seriously, with the cobblestone action going on in Nantucket, I was so grateful that I was wearing these booties! If I was wearing anything higher, I’d probably have a broken ankle right now. I don’t know how ANYONE in Nantucket wears heels… they probably don’t. It’s basically a death wish.
