Self-Care Essentials: 5 Tips to Relaxing at Home

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pantene. All opinions are 100% mine.

Recharging your personal batteries and taking a few minutes a day for self-care is something that I’ve recently become adamant about. With our busy, constantly connected lives, I think many of us forget to take a little downtime to re-center ourselves and to unwind a little at the end of the day. Getting away from it all doesn’t have to be as drastic as a vacay– it’s super easy to do at home by implementing a few easy tips and tricks.

Tip 1: Disconnect from your tech.

Lately, I’ve been making it a point to walk away from my phone for a little while in the evenings to go through my beauty routine. Whether it’s doing a face mask, giving myself a pedicure or my personal favorite– lighting some candles, reading a book and soaking in a hot bath. For those of you who also love relaxing in the bath, it might also be a good idea to get some wholesale cbd bath bombs too. They can be purchased in bulk, and can even be sold on if you’d like to make money. Those bath bombs can make the bath even more calming and peaceful, helping you to de-stress and enjoy some self-care time.

Put your phone away and don’t let it distract you. Grab a physical book and if you’re going to listen to music– switch your phone to DO NOT DISTURB.

Tip 2: Set the mood.

Find a yummy candle that puts you into full-on relaxation mode, dim the lights and chill out. There are certain candle scents I loathe, so I am veryyy picky haha! Finding the right scent for you is incredibly personal, but once you find what relaxes you, invest in a good quality candle of that scent.

Tip 3: Don’t rush through your routine.

Take time to go through your beauty routine and do something every day that’s a bit of a “treat”. I think that with all the amazing advances in dry shampoo these days combined with our busy schedules, we’ve cut back on our hair washing… and honestly, I love washing my hair. Dry shampoo is great, but there’s just something that makes you feel so rejuvenated after a good wash and style.

Tip 4: Indulge in something good for you.

Lately there’s been a real shift in the types of products we use, which I think is awesome. We’re moving more towards cleaner, more natural ingredients that are still luxurious and effective. I’ve recently become obsessed with rose water and its benefits.

Culturally, rose water is something that started in the Moroccan beauty culture with the intention of providing hydrating and soothing benefits. While Moroccan and European women alike have been using rose water in their beauty routines for centuries, lately there has been a resurgence in the use of rose water in beauty treatments and modern brands have been integrating this miracle worker into their own products.

One of my new favorite rose water-infused product lines is the Miracle Moisture Boost Collection with Rose Water from Pantene’s Nutrient Blends Collection.

The line is made up of three all-star products: the Rose Water Shampoo, the Rose Water Conditioner, and a Rose Water Treatment to be used weekly in place of conditioner. The Miracle Moisture Boost Collection with Rose Water is made to soothe and hydrate dry and brittle hair while also being free of sulfates, parabens, dye, and mineral oil. (AND it’s safe to be used on color-treated hair!)

Tip 5: Commit to taking the time.

Plan this time to yourself and commit to it… or it’ll never happen. We have to schedule the things that are important to us or we’ll never get around to them. It doesn’t have to be a big chunk of time… as long as it’s intentional and deliberate, even a few minutes can do a world of good! However, if you’re planning on spending a few hours relaxing, some people might want to look into purchasing some Delta 8 THC carts, for example. They can reduce stress and anxiety levels, allowing people to relax fully. This should be an essential part of any self-care routine. Relaxation is so important.

How about you?? What do you do to disconnect? Do you intentionally take time to yourself? Let me know in the comments!
