Parisian Vibes

Something about a striped breton just feels very Parisian, non? I love, love, love breton a striped tee. It’s one of those basics everyone absolutely MUST have in their closet. Definite #closetstaple status. It just works with so many different pieces in your closet and just elevates any look. (Check out a few other times I’ve recently styled this tee here, here or here!)

I’m also a major fan of the full midi skirt. They’re so feminine and girly, you just feel super ladylike when you wear one. I was really drawn to this one from Choies. I loved the subtle sheen (it’s basically a light taffeta) and the length was perfect. Plus, you can’t beat the price- it’s only $16.90! It’s also available in green if you’re in the market for a bit of color. A word on sizing- pay super close attention to the measurements!! I didn’t and ordered a MEDIUM, and I’ll be 100% transparent with you- I had to lose 8 lbs to be able to zip it. And after zipping it, it’s SUPER TIGHT. I’ve been hardcore dieting the past month, though, so I’d been sort of using this skirt as my guideline to how much weight I’ve lost LOL! It’s been a motivation!

My favorite way to style a full midi skirt is with something unexpected- a breton stripe, a chambray button down, an easy white tee. Pairing the skirt with a piece that gives off the complete OPPOSITE vibe keeps the look contemporary and modern.

I decided to tie my tee and turn it into an instant crop top. (Crop top is also my fave item to pair a midi skirt with! Give it a little bit of an edge and keep it from reading frumpy!)
