Sleeveless Trench Vest

Dare I say it’s finally starting to feel like fall in Miami? When you’re used to 90 degree days, the second the temperature drops to 79, you can feel it. I swear, you gals up north must be so sick of me talking about how hot it is down here! I’m so jealous of all of you and your beautiful Instagram posts of crunchy fall leaves, hot lattes and cozy sweaters.I find myself trying to come up with creative ways to incorporate the season’s “it” trends while still dressing appropriately for the heat. (And… seriously, nothing makes you feel dumber than trying to rock a wool sweater when everyone else is still in cutoffs and sandals. UGH.) Slipping on a felt hat or layering a cami under a sleeveless trench vest is a really easy way to channel an autumnal vibe, sans the sweat factor.You may have heard about Target’s recently redesigned denim; these midrise skinny jeans are from their new line and I love them! They’re really stretchy and comfortable, a great wash, and an amazing price. (Only $29.99!) I had been on the hunt for a sleeveless trench vest for awhile, and when I spotted this one at Choie’s, I knew it was The One. It’s soft and the fabric feels great; plus it’s a steal! It’s a really great layering piece. If it’s warmer, pair it over a floaty sundress or a cami like I did. If it’s cooler, you can layer it over a warm sweater or a long sleeve blouse. It’s a really great transition piece. I highly, highly recommend it. These Nine West leopard lace ups are my new favorite shoes! My mom scooped them up for me for my birthday, along with these gorgeous black lace ups. (They were part of Nine West’s BOGO 50% off sale last week!) Jenna Lyons famously said that leopard is a neutral, and she’s totally right. (And my favorite neutral, at that!) Incorporating a leopard piece is a great way to add a little interest to any outfit.
