You know those outfits that just make you feel super confident? Like you can do anything? THAT is this outfit. I don’t know if it’s the bold, brightness of the dress, or the majorly dramatic over the knee boots, or the don’t-mess-with-me topknot, but somehow, all of it together just makes me feel 100% confident.
And really, isn’t confidence the key to most things? Think about it. A big part of the ‘Sparkle Factor’ is confidence. When I came up with the name for my blog, I chose ‘A Sparkle Factor’ because I wanted to celebrate that intangible quality that makes a girl unforgettable. You know what I mean! It’s just a quality that you have that makes people notice you. And in large part, that quality is confidence.
Confidence is the thing that pushes you from thought to action. Making your dreams a reality requires confidence, faith, and perseverance. Pushing past fear and into a place of confidence is the key to success, whether it’s in the workplace or in your personal life. I think dressing the part can go a long to way helping you feel that way. (Or, as the old adage says, “fake it ’til you make it!”)
For me, a coat of red lipstick, a bold color and a killer pair of boots goes a long way in helping me feel confident.
Now. About the outfit.
THESE BOOTS, THOUGH. RIGHT?! I am obsessed. They are so, so comfortable. And they stay up. ALL THE TIME. (A problem with some over the knee boots!) You may remember these boots from this post. So good.
This bold little dress is so cute and I felt sort of like Blair Waldorf in it. I love the bow tie and the color! It’s a great fall floral.
