My favorite Valentine’s Days in the past have all been Galentine’s Days- nights when I’ve made plans with my single girlfriends instead of going out with a significant other. All of the Valentine’s Days I’ve been in a relationship and done “couple-y” things have kind of all blurred together! Topping my list of Best Valentine’s Days ever, has to be the year my roommates and I had an epically romantic candlelit fondue night, listening to John Mayer and Coldplay.
Eva Mendes went on Ellen and told her that she was going to celebrate V-Day by eating a deep dish pizza and watching The Notebook. I love that! (Even though it’s kind of weird that she’s going to watch The Notebook on Valentine’s Day while rumors are swirling that she and Ryan Gosling are over…) This year, I’m celebrating Galentine’s Day and keeping it low-key. To that end, I’m taking a note from Eva’s book and thinking that a pajama party movie night is definitely in order! (Personally: I’m watching season two of House of Cards which premieres that day on Netflix!) I love the action genre because I love the excitement. With my gal pals, we might watch something similar. I know one of my girlfriends loves the Now You See Me movies and another is obsessed with James Bond so we might watch something in the casino genre or perhaps something involving magic or gambling. You know, those films were you don’t see anything really happening until it’s all revealed at the end. We like those kinds of movies. They get your brain thinking. I think we might use the site NewCasinoSites to find the movie because they’ve compiled a list of the best 21 gambling films out there so it seems like a great place to start. Who knows, we might even end up watching more than one movie if we have a fab time. Check out some cute PJ’s and movie suggestions (grouped by mood!) and tell me in the comments: what are your Valentine’s Day plans?

So perfect! I am spending Valentine’s Day with my Soldier Boy, but we’re wearing PJs, ordered in food, and will be watching Dexter for the remainder of the night! No need to do all sorts of crazy stuff!
