Affordable Fashion Finds at Monc Boutique

After spending the last 5 years in New York, and the 4 years before that in Tallahassee at Florida State, moving back to Miami was like moving to an entirely new city. Even though I grew up here, the city is totally different now than I remember it. Reacquainting myself with the area is something I’ve made a priority, and at the very top of the list, is exploring all of the local boutiques. Shopping locally is something I’ve recently taken an interest in. There’s really just something about the boutique experience that can’t be emulated by a national retailer, something special and unique. The Miami fashion scene has a lot to offer, but Monc Boutique really caught my eye.

Named after the three El-Naffy sisters, Maya, Nayla and Carol (and Nayla’s son Oliver), the four month old boutique is located in South Miami and is poised to become THE go-to destination in Miami for affordable, under-$100 fashion. The boutique is happy and bright, and carries a great assortment of the latest styles and trends, all at a great price point.

I took my sister, Kaitlyn, to the boutique to shop for a birthday outfit. (It was also one of the many diversions to take her away from the house so we could prep for the double surprise party!) I was pleasantly surprised at all the great pieces we found and fell in love with a few different things. (To be honest, the goal was shopping for Kaitlyn, but I couldn’t resist slipping into a few goodies myself!) I ended up picking up a totally stunning statement necklace that I can’t wait to wear! Check out our shopping trip below!
