In all of my years of blogging, my favorite types of events have been the creative conferences I’ve had the opportunity to attend. If you’ve ever been to one, you know what I mean. One or multi-day conferences focused on highlighting creative boss babes and content creators, sharing insider tips and tricks, insight and advice. Even after years of blogging, I always find them to be valuable or at least inspiring.

My friends at Mary Kay® popped up as a  beauty sponsor during Create & Cultivate’s  Vision Summit in Miami a few weeks ago, and invited me to attend the conference and check out their newest innovation, the Chromafusion™ Collection. I got to meet, hang out with, and get my makeup touched up by Mary Kay® Global Beauty Ambassador, Luis Casco, who is a beauty genius and a fantastic makeup artist!

Long time readers know I’m a big fan of Mary Kay®. The Undereye Corrector and Perfecting Concealer are two of my all-time favorites! I’ve also shared deets in the past about one of my go-to nude lippies, the Mary Kay® Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick in Bashful You. I was really excited to try out the new Chromafusion™ Collection!

So, what exactly is it? Chromafusion™ Matrix Technology is Mary Kay’s new, patented tech used in this collection of eyeshadowscontour powders, blushes, and highlighters. The result is long-lasting, high-impact color that is crease-free and fade-proof for all-day wear. The formula feels silky and the colors are true… I was incredibly impressed with the new collection!

The eyeshadows are bomb – the color payoff is pretty impressive and there are a range of 33 matte and shimmer shades that flatter all skin tones. (My favorites are Shiny Penny, Candlelight and Burnished Bronze!). The blushcontour and highlighter all work perfectly together to achieve that sculpted, natural look I love. The matte contour shades are good colors and don’t make your skin look dirty, which can sometimes happen!

One of my favorite things about the collection is that you can totally customize what you want… pick up the Pro Palette for $25 on MaryKay.com and then fill it with the shades you’d use most. The magnetic palette is totally customizable and easy to grab and go. I find this is a lot more cost efficient than dropping $50 on a palette where you only end up using one or two of the colors anyway. (By the way– this makes a fantastic holiday gift!)

Back to the weekend. I popped in early because I wanted Luis to touch up my makeup and wanted to try out the goodies. I was not disappointed! The bold pink booth was a girly girl’s dream… I had so much fun discovering the new products and Mary Kay® was giving away palettes to everyone who followed them on Instagram!

After spending some time chatting with Luis and finishing up my makeup, I headed to the first panel to get my inspiration on! It was such an inspiring day, and I loved hearing from some of the world’s most successful self-made women… women like Venus Williams, who was absolutely motivating! After sitting in on workshops that spoke to everything from building a brand to creating content with Adobe, I left feeling reinvigorated and ready to tackle work. I also got to meet a few girls I’ve been following on Instagram forever and it felt like a dream to meet them in real life!

Ultimately, I feel so blessed to be able to do this job. Opportunities like this one show me how much this is truly my dream job. Thank you so, so much to Mary Kay® for inviting me on this amazing dream day! Take a peek at my photo diary below:

Thanks so much for reading!
