The Perfect Thanksgiving Dinner Outfit

Thanksgiving is one of my absolute favorite holidays. The family, the turkey, the pie… I love pie… There is SO much deliciousness happening all day long, and it’s such a great day to enjoy and be with family.

Let’s be honest- with all the aforementioned deliciousness happening, you NEED to be comfortable. You just do. There’s nothing worse than trying to enjoy your 4th slice of pie and feeling like your pants are going to explode. (PS: I have a strict NO PANTS rule of thumb for Thanksgiving dinner. No garment is going to fat shame me for eating tons of pie. All the pie. I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life.)

Besides, a dress just kind of looks nicer, doesn’t it? Ok, so great news. I found the PERFECT Thanksgiving Dinner outfit. The formula is quite simple. Swing Dress + Fur Vest + Flat Lace Ups = the perfect Thanksgiving Dinner outfit.

The swing dress is the PERFECT dress for Thanksgiving. It’s easy, comfortable, and totally chic. The jersey knits are my absolute favorites, I wear them ALL the time. (My mom calls them my “work dresses” because, seriously, they’re half a step up from PJs but just as comfy. I always wear them to work from home!)

I love pairing the swing dress with a faux fur vest and lace up flat. The resulting look is super chic but still totally comfortable.
