I am still in disbelief that Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away! So many of my blogger pals are in full on Christmas mode already, but I am loving fall right now and enjoying living in a place where I can actually wear a sweater! Traditionally, my family starts decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. Growing up, Black Friday shopping wasn’t really a thing for us– our Black Friday was all about getting the tree. (These days you can do both because there are just SO many good online sales going on!) We would always host Thanksgiving at our house, so our fall decor would be up until then.
As a blogger it’s a lot harder to stick to this schedule, honestly. I don’t really want to wait until the last minute to start sharing holiday content because I definitely want to get my holiday decor up early enough that you can get some inspiration and shop in time for YOUR holiday decor to go up! So, this year, my place will be a mix of fall and holiday!
For now though, I wanted to be sure to share my fall home decor and my fall bar cart! We will be having Thanksgiving here in Savannah this year, so I’m excited for the place to feel festive.
Can you believe this floral garland on the bar cart?? I got it at AC Moore (which I had never even really heard of until I moved here!) and it was on mega sale for, like, $4! Tried to find it online but couldn’t, sadly.
I also picked up a new letterboard for the fall/holiday season. I love my pink felt letterboard but wanted to switch it up with a white one that feels a bit more neutral. I love the whitewashed frame! Plus, I love the gold script phrases! (They have a pack for Christmas too which I am picking up!)
I am obsessed with how the mantle area came out! I love the pumpkin stems paired with the eucalyptus and the white berries! I also found these milk bottles on clearance for $4 at Target, they’re Hearth & Hand. The white and gold pumpkins are all new and old Target. (I couldn’t believe they did the white suede pumpkins in the dollar section this year! I bought every single one they had!)
I just realized this is the first time you guys are seeing the living room! It’s a work in progress, of course. I already put up some new peel and stick wallpaper, which beautifully complements the vision I had in my head for my living room, but there are still some more things I need to do! I’ve mentioned before that the back wall is in desperate need of some art. (It’s so tough with that a/c unit and the REMOTE CONTROL stuck to the middle of the wall!! Still trying to figure out what to do there, would love some suggestions!) The rug just came in yesterday and I am so excited… it really makes such a huge difference in the space.
