Little Black Fringe Dress

I don’t know about you, but lately, when I want to dress up, I want to wear anything but black. (I know, I know, this is total style blasphemy!) I think I’m just bored with it! Give me color, give me sparkles, give me… something. A black dress is classic and tasteful, but I just want something INTERESTING and FUN these days! (Am I turning into Ms. Frizzle in my old age? Possibly.)

All that said…when I spotted this little black fringe dress, I was immediately drawn to it. (And by spotted, I mean when my sister brought it to me because she was going to buy it for herself and I took it from her. LOL jk, we’re sharing it. Sort of.) The fringe, the high neck, the details really just elevated its cool factor and grabbed my attention. (PLUS, we snagged it at the Nordstrom Rack for $28.97! COME ON.)

I really loved the drama of the black fringe dress and decided to dress it up with a wine colored pout and matching tassel earring. (Isn’t that SO ’50s? To match your lipstick to your earrings? I LOVE IT. Also, the earrings are under $40!) I also decided to incorporate a sort of mixed geometric accessories moment by adding this super cute clutch and my new Adam Lippes for Target pumps. I love the contrast, it keeps the outfit modern and the dress from going too boho, which I didn’t really want to do with this look. (Of course, if you want to go full boho, pair the dress with a great fall hat, ankle bootie, long necklace. You’re good to go. Actually, stay tuned to Instagram, I may give that look a whirl!)
So, I actually SKIPPED Adam Lippes for Target! I accidentally stumbled across these adorable pumps in-store the weekend it came out. There was TONS of Adam out; not sure if it was because it’s Miami, and we have little need for plaid wool coats, or because no one really cared? What do you think?
