Both summer and a fun roadtrip call for something comfy and easy to wear. While shopping for this trip, I found myself questioning both the style quotient and chicness level of everything I purchased. To prep, I hit up the juniors’ section of Kohl’s to stock up on easy basics and some fun trend pieces and came out with two HUGE shopping bags full of goodies, PLUS $30 in Kohl’s cash and a $10 off coupon. (Gotta love a good sale!)
Shopping the juniors’ section in your 30s is definitely different than shopping in your teens or 20s, but it’s definitely worth a perusal. I can’t wait to show you more of the goodies I scooped up later on in my trip, but today, wanted to share this great outfit I put together.
I’d been wanting a floral wide leg pant for awhile, but had a hard time finding a pair that weren’t too long on me or made me look stumpy and chubby. (Workin’ with a 5’2 frame here!) I picked these up, expecting the worst, and was pleasantly surprised in the fitting room! They have a really interesting side slit that’s breezy and a little bit sexy but still tasteful. (Plus, it’s almost 100 degrees right now, so the ventilation was definitely welcomed!)
I paired the floral wide leg pant with a simple white tank and a pair of cognac wedges that I am SO EXCITED ABOUT. If you follow me on snapchat (username: stephaniepernas) you may have participated in my black vs cognac debate… I really couldn’t decide which color to get! I was actually going to just scoop up both, (they were on sale for $39.99!!) but the black pair had a defect and I couldn’t track down another in my size. Wah. I finished the look with this adorable fringe bag and some fun necklaces from Old Navy. (WHY doesn’t Old Navy have their jewelry online?? If you haven’t checked out Old Navy for jewelry, do it!)
(BTW- also snagged the tank in black…they were on sale for $5.99!) Shop the look below!
