Boho Kimono & Gaucho Pant

So excited to share my vacay photos with you all! Living in Miami, it’s the easiest thing in the world to just hop on a weekend cruise and get away for a few days. This weekend, my sister Megan and I did just that and had a relaxing 4 days to just chill, eat, and basically have a good time on the Carnival Ecstasy.

As one who (obviously) loves fashion, a cruise is kind of the ideal vacation because you can change clothes, like, 10 times a day. Breakfast, bathing suit, casual outfit, dinner outfit… I packed at least 4 outfits a day. I snapped pics of a few of my fave looks and will be sharing them with you this week and next!

So on to this outfit. This was definitely a controversial one, but one of my favorites. My sisters hate it, my mom kind of hates it. I’m not usually one to go for a boho chic look, but being that this was a cruise, I kind of fell in love with the idea of the cool gaucho pant and matching kimono. I had spotted these pieces at Target a few weeks ago, and while intrigued, I didn’t take the plunge until we decided to go on this trip. Since the proportions are so oversized and drapey, showing a little skin was crucial to keep the outfit from looking like crazy Mrs Roper. I paired it with my favorite, favorite black crop top from Kohl’s and a cool espadrille wedge that’s a million years old. (Related: I realized while I was packing for this trip that these are basically the only wedges I own. I have one more pair that I got, like, 5 years ago. Immediately added wedges to my to-buy list!) This outfit was SO comfortable and easy… loved wearing it. Plus, the pieces work great together or separately. Throw the kimono on over a bikini, or with a pair of jean shorts, or wear the pants with a crop top and jean jacket… super versatile. So tell me in the comments: what do you think of this look??
