Essentials for the Perfect Valentine's Night In

I have a weird relationship with Valentine’s Day. I actually LOVE Valentine’s Day, but I do not associate it with romance at all. Growing up, my mom always made Valentine’s Day special for us, with little gifts and chocolates. She made it meaningful and we always felt loved. I love hearts, I love pink, I love chocolate… there are so many things about Valentine’s Day that I love! I’m not, however, a big fan of the whole over-the-top date night part. I’d much rather someone plan a romantic date night for me because they wanted to, not because they felt it was expected of them, you know? Because of that, I’m a huge proponent of the Valentine’s Night In, instead of the big Date Night to do.

This year, I’m single, so even more reason to keep it low-key. Just because you’re spending the night in, doesn’t mean it has to be lame. Here are a few essentials I’m loving for the perfect Valentine’s Night In:

What I love about Edible Arrangements, is that they’re not just delicious, they’re decorative. I am obsessed with candles. I typically opt for clean scents, but I’ve been venturing out of my comfort zone the last few months and experimenting with different scents. The Traveler Beer Company

I’m usually more of a gin gal, and last my partner decided to Gift the perfect gin experience and we had the best evening trying different gins. However, lately I’ve been interested in learning about cool craft beers. This American craft beer is the first American craft Shandy, which is pretty cool! It has notes of grapefruit and is brewed with real fruit ingredients. (Pairs well with the Chesapeake Bay Candle, right?!) The Traveler Beer company offers a variety of seasonal flavors and their new Blackberry Shandy sounds delicious too!
