Happy Fri-YAY! It’s the weekend and I’m so ready… not that I’m taking a break. I’m working through the weekend trying to get my new and improved site up and running! That’s right- I’ve been working on a re-design guys! I’m SO excited for you to see what I’ve been working on. (By the way- what would YOU want to see on the new site? What features, posts, stories, etc?? Let me know in the comments or send me an email!!) I’m really aiming to re-launch next week. Stay tuned.
My grandpa’s 80th bday was yesterday and we’re throwing him a surprise party tomorrow. I’m excited that we’ll get to do that for him, but to be honest… he has Lewy Body Dementia and we’re not really sure how many more bdays he’s got, so we’re making it a good one.
Next week I have a ton of meetings going on, PLUS my sister Megan is headed back to FSU for fall semester. Wah. I’m also working on some fun collabs that will be coming up soon on the blog. Keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, on to my fave links and SALES! xx
- How to Cover Up a Pimple – The Beauty Department: Seriously, I have THE biggest pimple this week! It seemingly sprang up overnight on my chin. THE WORST. I’ve really struggled with covering it up; I feel like everything I do just makes it WORSE. This tutorial is super helpful, and the pimple DISAPPEARS. Whew. (By the way, I’ve been using Dermalogica’s ‘Breakout Control’ this week and it’s done wonders for drying it up and shrinking it!)
- Have it in my mind that I NEED a pair of cobalt pumps. These are $19.90, and look SUPER luxe… so I may just HAVE to buy them.

- People Stylewatch Relaunches With a Focus on Shopping and Street Style – Fashionista: People Stylewatch has always been my favorite magazine. Inspiring street style images, affordable fashion finds, and great shopping pages… all of my favorite things! The September issue is a brand new, redesigned one… and I can’t wait to get my hands on one! I was a subscriber but, sadly, my subscription JUST lapsed. Ugh. Can’t wait to check it out! - Oh em gee. I just binge watched You’re the Worst on Hulu… it’s SO good. Think of it as a mashup of Trainwreck, Happy Endings and Girls. You MUST watch.
- Will Target’s Newest Everything-and-More Collab Be As Successful As the Missoni One? – Refinery 29: What do you think of Target’s newest collab?? I’m personally not thrilled with it, it’s just not my aesthetic. A couple of pieces did catch my eye, but I think I’ll probably sit this one out. Will you shop it?
