Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope that you have a wonderful and blessed day today and are fortunate enough to spend this time with your family and loved ones. One of my favorite things to do on Thanksgiving is taking the time to reflect on the past year and all of the blessings and wonderful things in my life. If you’re a long time reader, you know that on Thanksgiving I like to share a few things I’m grateful for. It’s really important to count your blessings and have a grateful heart… it can be so easy to fall into a sense of complacency or disappointment that we are not where we think we should be and I think being grateful for what we do have really helps maintain our joy and happiness.
This year, I am thankful for:
Great Friends. A strong support system is so key. I am so grateful for the wonderful women in my life, bloggers, non-bloggers, working moms, sahms, single gals, married ladies. I feel blessed to have girlfriends in all life stages who are wise and kind, loving, silly, and strong. I feel so sad for women who have no girlfriends. Friends who will giggle with you over silly things, be there for you during tough decisions, and cheer you on as you chase your dreams.
Family. I love my fam and am so grateful for them. Our family has changed so much over the last few years; first by losing my dad and now, as my sisters grow up and are suddenly adults… it’s just such a fun time for us. I am so grateful that we are all close and even though we all get on each others’ nerves, we all love each other and are there for each other. I also have the world’s best mom. I’m sure you think yours is, but you would be wrong. 😉 One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is spending time with them.
My Job. I am so grateful that this GETS TO BE MY JOB and that I am able to chase this dream and share this platform with you. When I hear girlfriends complain about their jobs or dread going to work… I feel so happy that I don’t feel that way. I feel so fortunate that I get to do something I love so much. Thank you so much for your constant support and for allowing me to do this full time! I love you.
