Part of the fun of having a blog is that I’m CONSTANTLY shooting “my new favorite look, ever.” I’m sure you’re totally sick of hearing my claim that THIS is FINALLY my favorite look, ever, but…. this is my favorite look ever, guys.
Pattern play is one of my all-time favorite things… I love putting together prints and textures to make something my own. Print mixing is the ultimate in expressing your personal style, because it’s such a truly personal thing to do. I am ALL about the sartorially unexpected; it’s what keeps our wardrobes fresh and fun, and what differentiates our styles from each other. The ‘safe’ alternative is to take this skirt and pair it with a solid colored top or maybe a chambray if we’re feeling adventurous. I see your chambray and I raise you one ruffle sleeve stripe top! (By the way, there’s nothing wrong with the safe choice… you may remember, I went very safe with this skirt a few weeks ago on the blog!)
I’ve said it before, but will remind you again… the trick to a successful print mix is pairing together two prints with the same color scheme. Both the skirt and top happen to be the same exact off-white with black, which means they go BEAUTIFULLY together!
I absolutely love the subtle black tassel fringe trim on the skirt; it really gives it a pop of something extra!
The ruffle sleeve top is super flattering and fun… I’m going to style it with jeans next, definitely! It’s a bit boxy and cropped, and so so perfect.

I know, I know, I’ve been on a MAJOR Target tear lately. But can you blame me??? This whole look is HEAD TO TOE TARGET. The sandals I scored two weeks ago during their BOGO 50% off shoe sale… I’ll definitely be wearing them all spring and summer long! I love the faux suede fringe.
