OK, I have totally failed to mention it before now, but can I just say, HOW IS IT NOVEMBER? The fall is flying by and before you know it, it’ll be winter and CHRISTMAS! I’ve been thinking a lot about holiday, what with Thanksgiving around the corner and I am so excited for the season. It’s really my favorite time of year and my favorite time to be a blogger. So many gals have already been rolling out gift guides and such and I’m just over here enjoying my fall leaves like… whoa, girl, wait ’til Thanksgiving. (Just me? What do you think? Do you want to see holiday inspo already? Lemme know in the comments…)
While I’m not usually much of a boho gal, (you know this!) from time to time I like to pull out an unexpected look with a more funky vibe. When the girls and I went to Nantucket, I fell in love with this look; flare jeans, a cozy fringe shawl, and a bell sleeve sweater. This fuzzy mohair sweater was totally warm and so chic… I am really gravitating towards the mauves and blushes this season in a big way! It just felt like a really easy and natural outfit and the Baublebar Capri Amulet necklace was sort of the perfect finishing touch. Bell sleeve sweater looks to be sold out in mauve and most sizes of the cream… (By the way, I LOVE this bell sleeve sweater!) The shawl is sold out in this mauve color, but is still available in limited sizes in black, olive and rust. It’s only $15.90 so I recommend scooping it up while you can! If both are sold out in your size, definitely sign up for the waitlist, they always restock!
I think it’s important to step out of your comfort zone sometimes, be it in fashion or in life. We get so set in our ways and so focused on always doing things a certain way, it’s refreshing to shake things up a bit and get a new perspective. While we should always be true to ourselves, we should definitely take risks and not be afraid to try something new from time to time. Variety is the spice of life, as they say. I love that about style these days– no one is restricted to being only one thing. So go ahead, take a risk, make a gamble. Give that sequin bomber a shot, don’t be afraid to go on a date with a boy who maybe isn’t your usual type. You may be surprised with what happens next 😉
