Today, Peter Som’s wallet-friendly line for DesigNation at Kohl’s finally hits stores. While Kohl’s has already been pre-selling Som’s hotly anticipated line online, today it finally hits sales floors nationwide. I caught a Google Hangout last week People Stylewatch’s Kate Dimmock hosted with Peter, and was so charmed by their chat about the collection. I’ve long been a fan of Peter Som and was really excited to see how his collection translated to mass market. Oftentimes these things are hit or miss! While some collabs like Phillip Lim for Target were major home runs, others haven’t been as well received. I was pleased when I peeked at the line that it felt very much in the same vein as Peter’s eponymous mainline and that the quality was great! Priced between $38-$88, the collection was inspired by St Barth’s, and is chock full of vacation-ready pieces like printed silky palazzo pants ($54) and easy maxi dresses ($78).
I’m not a pre-order gal- I know, it’s a gamble, but I like to see things in person first! With that in mind, here are the pieces I’m excited about.
