Online Shopping With Sudo App

Confession time. I online shop… A LOT. (Lol Is that, like, the most “DUH” confession ever?) Let’s get real, I’m sure that comes as no surprise. I just love it. Scouring pages of new arrivals, envisioning every pretty party dress and strappy sandal as a part of my (admittedly extensive) wardrobe. Plotting how I’d style that tricky tassel piece or how I could make that sequin skirt more casual… all from the comfort of my couch. (Who doesn’t love shopping from the couch in their PJs?)

As a a blogger, it’s pretty much part of my JOB to online shop and find the best of the best out there. The cutest shoes, the must-have dress… and you know my true passion for an amazing look for less. I do it ALL for you, babes. 😉 I’ll be honest with you, though… In my quest for finding the best of the best and scoring the ultimate deal, I’ve ordered from some pretttttty sketchy websites. Won’t name names. But you probably know who I mean.

I had my reservations about it at first. There have been times I’ve placed an order with one eye open, praying that my identity wouldn’t be stolen. (Very responsible, I know.) One time, I had my credit card number stolen and what did they spend it on?? $1 parking at some weird parking garage and like a $3 charge at Haagen-Dazs. Random, right? THAT’S what you did with my credit card number? Who understands criminals? LOL! Side note: totally relieved that’s all they tried to buy. #Florida

After that, I counted my lucky stars that the dumbest thieves in history tried to steal my identity and then started using the Sudo app for my online shopping. I feel a lot more comfortable and confident now about placing a potentially precarious online order.

Sudo enables you to create online “personas” to do things like online shop or even online date. Your info is totally secure and you don’t have to worry about data breaches.  Basically, you’re taking control of your online life and not giving out your credit card number, phone number, passwords or email address to any randos on the ‘net. You set up a profile, complete with working phone number and email address, and you use Sudo’s secure browser to online shop, minus the tracking. (Plus, then you’re not getting annoying popups and emails and spam phone calls. ARGH.) If you’re using Craigslist (for the roomie search, to sell stuff, etc.) this is a totally ideal app… you don’t have to worry about giving your cell phone number and email addy to the Craigslist Killer by accident.

OK, so the best part- Sudo connects to your Apple Pay, but creates one-time only “disposable credit cards” that you use to pay with online. So, you’re not giving out your CC#. GENIUS RIGHT?

You can sign up for a phone number and email address, so you’re not getting annoying phone calls or spam. Oh yeah- and if you’re into online dating, you don’t have to give some random bro your real phone #! You can call, text, email… all of it!

Honestly, in this day and age, it just makes sense to protect yourself online. I think it’s definitely worth a try, especially if you’re a big online shopper, as I know we all are. Will you give it a shot? Download it in the app store and let me know your thoughts.
