Aloha! I’m FINALLY feeling like myself again after battling a horrific flu/chest cold after getting back from Orlando. We had the absolute BEST time for Megan and Kaitlyn’s birthdays! I’ve been so excited to share photos of our stay at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort and tell you all about your weekend… but I’ve been half dead for the past week. Now that I’m bouncing back, I’m so psyched to spill the beans on our stay. If you follow along on Instagram (which you absolutely should be doing!) you’ll surely have already gotten a peek at the fun and probably even assumed I was off in Hawaii or on a Polynesian island somewhere. Nope!! Even better, we were at Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World!
I am a huge fan of the Universal Orlando Hotels. So far, I’ve stayed at the new Universal’s Aventura Hotel and now at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort. Staying on property at the Universal Orlando Resorts is such a great idea and comes with so many perks. (I’ll get into all of that later!)
Since my sisters and I are scattered all over Florida/Georgia, we love getting together in Orlando for birthdays. It’s the perfect central point for us all and we just love visiting the parks. I was so excited to stay at the ultra luxe Loews Royal Pacific this time!
The staff…
First of all– the staff. THE STAFF is so lovely and wonderful! Everyone is incredibly helpful and they really went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The property…
Stepping on property makes you totally forget you’re even in the US… you feel like you’re on some exotic vacay in the South Pacific. Like, how gorgeous is the courtyard?! The lagoon-style pool with its sand beaches are seriously next level, I only wish I had more time to enjoy them! (It was sadly raining while we were there!)
All about our room…
Our room was spacious, modern and very glam. I loved the bathroom!! It was very luxurious and spacious, plenty of mirrors which is #key. The showers were heaven after a long day at the parks. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were fluffy and perfect– one of the most important things to me in a hotel, let’s be honest.
The decor was beautiful and totally on theme. I loved the orchid mural on the wall behind the beds… such a stunning statement wall!
All about the food…
We ordered room service breakfast one morning and it was delicious! The cutest little continental breakfast with yummy pastries, coffee, and fresh OJ. There’s just something about breakfast in bed that I think is just so decadent and appropriate for vacations. If you’re feeling more like you want a sit-down breakfast, which I totally am all about, there’s a really cute Despicable Me character breakfast that both kids and adults alike would love. (MINIONS!!!) Other than the character breakfast there are four other restaurant options on property.
MY favorite dining experience at the Loews Royal Pacific was definitely the Wantilan Luau! The luau is every Saturday night and it is AMAZING. Such an experience! The perks…
OK, so obviously the perks are the most important part, right?! The MOST IMPORTANT perk I think is definitely the FREE Universal Express Unlimited passes. This is a total GAMECHANGER. If you don’t stay at a Universal Orlando hotel, you have to pay for it and it starts at $99 for an unlimited pass! If you stay at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel or Hard Rock Hotel Orlando you get it FOR FREE!! I can’t emphasize enough how major that is. We literally did not wait in line for ONE RIDE THE ENTIRE TIME AT THE PARKS! We breezed in and out of rides with zero wait. (Kaitlyn says she can’t ever go to an amusement park again now, we’ve been totally spoiled!!)
OK, so I think that perk is enough, I also think it’s worth mentioning some of the other perks including: early admission to the parks, free shuttle service so you don’t have to deal with the hassle/cost of parking, priority seating at restaurants at select Universal Orlando restaurants, resort-wide charging privileges with your room key, and more.
Overall, we had an amazing stay and Megan and Kaitlyn had such a special birthday weekend! I can’t recommend the resort enough! Check out some of my favorite snaps from our stay:
