Happy MLK! If you’re lucky enough to have the day off, hope you’re having a GREAT long weekend! If you’re back at work- I feel ya, girl. I’m workin’ it today too. (A blogger’s job is never done!) I love it, though. That refrain you always here is SO SO true… “if you love your job, you never work a day in your life.” #TRUTH. I mean, let’s be real, it’s work, but you just enjoy it, you know? I love coming up with great content for you!
Saturday afternoon, I headed to the Miami Design District to check out the scene. If you’re from Miami and you’ve never been- YOU MUST. If you’re from out of town, it’s a definite must-see next time you’re in my neck of the woods. (And, hey, when you head out here, lemme know!)
The Miami Design District is super chic and high end- chock full of the most amazing designer boutiques like Valentino, Tom Ford, and Dior. The coolest thing about it is that all of the stores pay homage to Miami and the Design District in their architecture. Iconic brands like Louis Vuitton and Hermes have a total Miami spin; integrating elements of art deco and modern architecture in their buildings. It’s a REALLY interesting thing to see.
I really didn’t intend to do any outfit photos here, but I was so inspired by how crazy the Fendi store is, I just NEEDED to snap some quick shots! (Yes, this is the Fendi store!) I really loved how my mirrored sunnies reflected the orange of the walls.
I really love this outfit! It can feel super casual or totally dressed up, depending on what vibe you want. It totally works for a casual Friday office look, or to run errands on the weekend. You can swap out the sleeveless blazer for a field jacket if you prefer to take it down a bit. For office, maybe swap in a pump instead of Converse if you want it to feel a little dressier.
