Kohl's Cinderella LC (5 of 6)Tee: c/o Kohl’s | Skirt: c/o Kohl’s | Bag: c/o Kohl’s| Necklace: c/o Swell Caroline (and clearly obsessed) | Shoes: Nine West (super old, similar)

Saturday night, I finally, FINALLY went to see Disney’s live action Cinderella remake! I had been looking forward to it for MONTHS. (Remember, I added it to me Things to Try in March post?) I absolutely loved it… Lily James was so stunning and I was fascinated by this Marie Claire article about the 11 Amazing Facts About The Cinderella Dress. Cinderella has always been one of my favorite princesses. She’s beautiful, kind, and gracious, things every woman should strive to be. I loved that the remake also portrays her as a fiercely strong willed woman as well… kindness doesn’t have to mean you’re a doormat.

But kindness is something that is oftentimes missing from both the blogging world and the fashion industry at large. I’ve been fortunate to work with a lot of wonderful and talented people in the industry, who also happen to be kind. Being a “mean girl” is NOT chic. There’s nothing stylish about treating people badly or like you are better than them. “Mean Girls” are usually mean because they themselves feel inadequate, and the only way they can make themselves feel more important is to put others down. A truly self-assured woman isn’t threatened by another’s success… there’s room for us all to flourish. Nothing is chicer than kindness. So in honor of Cinderella, kindness, and the fact that it’s a small world, after all, and you NEVER know when someone you’ve crossed will once again cross your path… I’m teaming up with Kohl’s and styling this gorgeous skirt from the LC Lauren Conrad Cinderella Collection.

When my friends at Kohl’s told me they were going to send over a few pieces from the LC Cinderella collection, I was completely ecstatic. I had already been eyeing this beautiful skirt and was hoping it would be in my box. And- it was! As both pieces were a sort of painterly floral, I decided to style it with this sleeveless floral tee, a pretty blue bag, and my favorite Nine West t-strap heels. I liked that the tee and skirt combination felt a little bit like a take on a dress, but were really separates that worked together or with other pieces. The skirt would also look amazing styled with a chambray button down or a cool crop top, definitely! I feel like it’s surprisingly versatile and my new favorite piece. The tulle skirt is definitely twirl-worthy… and I’ll be honest, I did kind of feel like Cinderella! Check out  my look, and then shop the LC Lauren Conrad Cinderella collection down below!

I didn’t even know that this collection existed! All I’ve been hearing about is Lily Pullitzer for Target! Guess I’m just out of the loop over here in Germany! What a lovely outfit you’ve put together! I still need to go and see Cinderella!

Oh I love this! The colors together look so romantic and feminine, and the necklace gives it an extra bit of edge so it’s not TOO sweet. Great look!
