Mother’s Day is right around the corner! My mom is so wonderful and works SO hard, it’s really important to me to get her a fabulous gift that makes her feel appreciated. While my main ‘Love Language’ is definitely ‘words of affirmation’, I think ‘gifts’ comes in close second! I really love gifts; both giving and receiving. I get so excited when I find the PERFECT present for someone, I can’t even really wait to give it to them. Often, I leave gift buying ’til the last minute because I can’t STAND not giving someone their gift right away, which is beyond horrible by the way! The funny thing is, I don’t think my mom really cares too much about gifts. She’s more of an ‘acts of service’ type, so really, the best way to express appreciation for her on Mother’s Day is to do something for her.
But, you still need to get a gift anyway! Mother’s Day is the perfect time to spoil your mama. Honestly, I don’t know about yours, by my mom NEVER gets herself anything! Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to buy something she’d never get for herself– a luxe face cream, a beautiful bag, a pair of expensive sandals.
