Now that it is resoundingly spring, it’s time to pull out one of the season’s most ubiquitous trends: florals. While some may consider florals to be oh-so-cliche, I call it classic. When my friends at Kohl’s challenged me to style my fave floral two ways, I instantly went with day-to-night. Let’s be honest- that’s how women dress. We need something to transition well and work in a variety of situations.
Hat: c/o Physician Endorsed | Tank: c/o Kohl’s | Skirt: c/o Kohl’s | Bag: c/o Kohl’s | Shoes: Ross | Necklaces: c/o My Monogram Necklace, c/o Kohl’s
Since you know I’m all about the print mix, for daytime, I decided to pair my Joe B. floral midi skirt with an easy, striped tank by Mudd. The cut of the front is so flattering and the scoop back is sexy yet tasteful. I added this adorable coral crossbody, a pair of amazing footbed sandals I scored a couple of weeks ago at Ross (for $16.99 no less!) and this fabulous Physician Endorsed ‘Belize’ Panama Hat! The great thing about the hat is that in addition to being adorable, it actually offers sun protection. (You should check out ALL of Physician Endorsed… check out all the styles on Solescapes!) I wanted the look to be easy and casual, but still fun.
Crop top: c/o Kohl’s | Necklace: c/o Swell Caroline | Heels: c/o AMI Clubwear (OLD) | Bag: Nordstrom (old)
To transition to nighttime, I swapped the tank out for a sexy black crop top (that’s on sale for $5.99… seriously, scoop it up in EVERY color and print!) swapped out my sandals for heels, crossbody for clutch, added some major statement bling and slicked on a layer of red lipstick. Easy peasy. (By the way- isn’t that necklace stunning?! I’ve been wearing it nonstop lately!)
So there you have it! Two floral looks that work for day-to-night… tell me in the comments: which is your fave?
