Everyone plays favorites when it comes to seasons. Not me. There are different things to love about each season, to be sure. For Fall, I love plaids and boots. Winter means lots of pretty red and silver dresses, leathers, and faux furs. Summer is all about bold colors and vacay vibes. But if I had to choose one, spring is probably the most “me” of seasons. Something about spring just demands all the girly vibes, right? Pastels, florals, laces… it just seems like everything is more feminine and sweet… which is definitely key to my own personal style. I just love the in-store selections during the spring months!
Growing up, one of my favorite things was shopping for an Easter dress. I have always, always loved dressing up. Holidays have always been an excuse to dress up and everyone knows Easter is a major dress up holiday. When I was a kid, that meant hats and gloves and I kind of loved that. Some things never change; I still love dressing up, I still love Easter dresses, and I’d definitely be down to wear a hat and gloves.
This romper in a pretty pastel blue would make a perfect Easter romper, don’t you think? I love the chiffon material, the breezy ruffle and the cute little bow. It has a pretty sweet price tag too… $19.90! (Everything I wear lately seems to be $19.90? Maybe it’s the magic number!)
I think a case can definitely be made for the romper being the new dresses. I love that they’re both dressy yet casual. They work in a variety of situations where you may be unsure of the dress code. With a minor accessory swap, you can elevate or tone down a romper. I’m all for versatility in a garment, that’s for sure.
