Are you just totally OVER Coachella yet? I know I am. I’m not really one for “festival style” per say. It’s just… not my usual vibe. I read an article last week about how “festival style” has actually become a whole category to traditional retailers. Even Bloomingdale’s has jumped in on the action and created pop up shops at their stores highlighting festival style. H&M has a whole collection called H&M <3 Coachella. It’s everywhere, and we can’t really fight it.
While I wouldn’t ever go out necessarily looking for something festival-esque, since it’s out there, from time to time a piece will catch my eye. This adorable boho floral romper from Target (surprise LOL!) is such a case. First of all- the fabric quality. In NO way felt like Target. The price, on the other hand? $32.99. Sold. It was the perfect piece to wear to brunch yesterday! If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, you no doubt got a peek at the fun.
I met up with some of my favorite Miami fashion bloggers at Sense Beach House and we had a beautiful afternoon gabbing and brunching. Lauren from The Fashionista’s Diary and Jaime from Sunflowers & Stilettos put the whole thing together, complete with floral crowns and goody bags. We had SO much fun! I even got to meet a few girls I didn’t already know, like Taylor from Little Blonde Book and Donna from On The DL Lifestyle. (BTW- obsessed with them both.) After brunch, we headed up to the roof and basically annoyed everyone up there by taking 17,000 photos and doing the whole ‘Blogger Thing’ . I absolutely love that so many of my friends are bloggers, because only another blogger GETS why you need to take 3,000 photos, what angle will be best for a shoefie, if a spot is terrible because the sun is too bright… really, it goes on and on. (My own family can’t actually stand it lol!)
The thing about blogger friends, is that they’re basically akin to co-workers. When you work for yourself and on your own, you don’t HAVE co-workers. Blogger friends get it. When you want to vent about how your site is acting buggy, the latest changes to Instagram, a weird email someone sent you, or how you just can’t edit that photo to look NORMAL, blogger friends are the ones who are like, “GIRL. YES. I hear you.” Even though we’re all doing our own thing, it’s awesome that we can all come together to celebrate and commiserate things that are going on in our lives.
Which brings up an interesting point… why are some blogger gals mean to each other?? Petty jealousy, gossip, backstabbing… these are all things I occasionally hear about and it baffles me. I love my blogger friends and am nothing but proud of them and excited for the wonderful opportunities that come their way. Someone else’s success doesn’t detract from your own. The internet is a big beautiful place, there’s room for us all to thrive and succeed. We all have our own voices, our own platforms and goals. No one can be you…except for you. While comparing yourself to those around you can be tempting, and we all fall into the trap occasionally, it’s important to remember that it just DOESN’T MATTER. We all have our own path and journey. Mine won’t look like yours. Yours won’t look like mine. We need to just keep our eyes on our own work, focus on being the best we can be, and celebrating each others’ victories.
All that to say… I really love my blogger gals. LOL! And I really love this outfit that I wore to brunch with them.

My new favorite bracelet is this chain link beauty from Swell Caroline. I love the initial disc, I usually hate how ‘S’ looks, but I loved the beautiful script and the pearl accent. It’s the perfect addition to my arm party.
