Ever since first spotting style star and fashion icon Olivia Palermo in a denim pencil skirt, I’ve been dying to try the trend myself. (You may have already spotted me in my Levi’s denim pencil skirt at the TJ Maxx event in my post or in this Instagram snap!)
I never thought I’d see the day where I actually considered wearing a denim pencil skirt… but that just goes to show, never say never. You may think you’ll never try a trend, but all it takes is the right style inspiration to change your mind! (Or the magic touch of Queen OP!)
I loved wearing it with a chambray button down for a twist on the denim-on-denim look. In today’s post, I decided to keep it casual and pair it with my favorite crop top right now (that’s only $5.99… just… get it. GET THEM ALL.) and a slip on sneaker. To dress it up, I’d swap out the slip-on for a heel and maybe jazz up the jewels. Full disclosure: my sisters HATE this outfit. Be honest- are you loving or hating the denim pencil skirt? Tell me in the comments!
Te he… never say never to trends, indeed! I can’t remember what it was, but not too long ago, I put something on and thought, “Wow, if 10-years ago me could only see me now.” You totally rocked this look!
