Today, I’m partnering once again with Kohl’s to style a great fall look for under $100. When I was putting this look together, I wanted to style something that felt girly and easy, but had a little edge to it. Usually when I’m getting dressed, I like to pair unexpected pieces to put together modern and fun looks.

While shopping, I gravitated towards this buffalo check plaid button down; it’s really soft and has a good drape. All plaid flannels aren’t created equal- look for button placement, and the fit throughout the torso and arms. Make sure that the fabric feels good and that the color is rich. I fell in love with these LC Lauren Conrad scalloped shorts… they’ll transition well into winter by adding a pair of tights and a cozy sweatshirt. I decided to finish the look with this cute embellished lace crop top underneath… the final look feels a little rock-and-roll, but still glam and girly. The best part?
