Sawgrass Mills Mall, My 30th Bday & a Shopping Spree GIVEAWAY!

Ok, truth time. Today is my 30th Birthday. Cue freak out. In all honesty, I wasn’t really thrilled to be turning 30… it just seems like a really scary age! But, now that it’s here, it’s not so bad! (Plus, everyone is always shocked when they hear how old I actually am… apparently I look really young?)

So, suffice it to say, I needed some cheering up. And NOTHING cheers me up like a little retail therapy. I headed over to Sawgrass Mills Mall to do a little shopping. With over 350 outlets and value price retailers, 60 of which are exclusive in South Florida, Sawgrass is the largest outlet retail center in the country. With amazing outlets like Jimmy Choo, Diane Von Furstenberg, Kate Spade, and Gucci… it’s a shopper’s paradise! I headed over to my three faves to scout the perfect bday dinner outfit. (Keeping it low key this year!)

First, I ducked into Kate Spade. Kate Spade was a total dream. EVERYTHING was 50% off. I wanted to take it all home. At the end, I chose this GORGEOUS black and white bow print bag. It’s SO fun and whimsical and will totally work with everything in my wardrobe. I also scooped up a pewter patent polka dot wallet. My current wallet is a hot pink Kate Spade, so I thought I’d swap it out and give it a little break. (You KNOW it gets a a major workout!)

From Kate Spade, I hopped over to the Bloomingdale’s outlet and was met with a MEGA SALE. While flipping through a rack, I found this adorable cobalt Necessary Objects lace trimmed romper. It felt so fun and girly! I love the black lace trim, and it was a fun alternative to a little dress.

Next, I popped into DVF where I scored an amazing black vneck, boxy shift that is… perfection. I have a sheath dress made of the same fabric and it’s SO slimming and gorgeous. 60s mod is such a huge trend for fall 2014, and this dress hits the mark without being too trendy. I can easily dress it up or dress it down with an easy accessory swap and honestly… I’ll wear it forever.

All in all, a VERY successful shopping trip! I love my new finds and wore the black dress to work and the cobalt romper for dinner out.
