5 Grown Up Ways to Wear a Graphic Tee: Fake a Dress

Today’s the last day of my 5 Grown Up Ways to Wear a Graphic Tee series! This whole week, I styled my favorite Old Navy graphic tee a variety of different ways to show off how versatile and easy it really is to integrate into your wardrobe. Graphic tees call to mind a younger demographic, but that’s really not the case! There are so many fab tees on the market right now, that there’s really no reason NOT to scoop up a bunch!

For today’s look, I decided to fake a dress. I have this peplum skirt that I love, but haven’t worn in awhile. I bought it years ago, but this season, I find it’s really relevant again. (Hitting the dark floral trend!) Pairing it with a cute belt and the tee felt really natural and easy- almost like a dress! I decided to do a dark merlot lip and keep the accessories minimal. Check out the look below and tell me in the comments: what was your favorite look of the series?

Thank you for this post. I often feel that many trends are just too young for me, but this was not only cute but chic in a not too “trendy” kind of way. I’d probably lean toward a black skirt or pair with a blazer. 🙂

Thanks, Kimmy!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Some fun trends can be intimidating because they skew “young”, but with the right styling, I find a lot of them are really doable! At the end of the day, confidence plays a key role in it… If you feel comfortable in something, it goes a long way in terms of “pulling it off”! xx S
