5 Grown Up Ways to Wear a Graphic Tee: Girly

This week, I’m styling my favorite graphic tee (the Holy Chic graphic tee from Old Navy!) five different ways. BTW… if they don’t have your size online, find it in stores! They still have ’em.) Yesterday, I went casual, and today, I thought I’d go girly! I decided to style the tee with a flowy, romantic pink chiffon maxi skirt, a statement necklace, and a leather vest for a little edge. I really love this look! It’s easy and fun and it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Whenever I’m doing something really girly, I like to throw in a little element of the unexpected; some leather, a masculine shape, just something contradictory. It really keeps the style fresh and modern. This look would also be fun with a printed maxi or maybe a jean jacket! Check out the look below and tell me in the comments: would you try this style?

We have already discussed how much we love the Old Navy graphic tees, but this outfit is perfect. First off, that maxi skirt is amazing. I need one in my life. I love the feminine look with a bit of edge.

Thanks so much, Katie! I loved your take on the tee as well! (Twinsies!) It’s just such a fun, easy piece to add a little personality to an outfit. I liked the idea of the maxi skirt, it felt a little bit unexpected, and I love to add a little edge to a girly piece. In a cooler climate, I’d say that it would be an easy swap to switch out the vest for a moto jacket. I think you should go for a maxi! 🙂 x S

I think that this is one of the greatest ways to dress around a tee. I love pairing a tomboyish tee with a flowy skirt! I did this with Jack Daniel’s tee and a pleated maxi with a leather jacket for my Birthday last year. I can honestly tell you that it was one of my favourite looks EVER!

On a side note, your hair is making me green with envy! You look adorable!

Thanks so much, Signe! That’s so sweet of you to say! I love pairing things that don’t SEEM to go together. Graphic tees are just so versatile, I loved the challenge of coming up with 5 ways to style! (the next few days I have some cute outfits in store!) I love your idea of the pleated maxi with a leather jacket! I would definitely do that look if it weren’t 100 degrees here in Miami still! HAHA! xx S
