How to Apply Press-On Nails

...and make them last a week!

Lately I've been skipping the nail salon and doing my own manicure at home. Confession: I am useless at doing my own nails. Luckily, I've figured out a fool-proof way to do my own mani-- press on nails! They've come a long way in recent years and I'm spilling all the tips on how to make your mani last 1-2 weeks!

My Favorite Press-On Nails

KISS Salon Acrylic Nude nails look SO natural! The 'Leilani' style is an on-trend coffin shape you could wear bare or paint yourself!

My Favorite Nail Glue

Although the KISS nails come with glue, I prefer the ease of the Powerflex Brush-On Nail Glue.

Tip: Use nailpolish remover before applying glue

Make sure nails are clean, trimmed, filed, and cuticles are pushed back. Apply nail polish remover to remove oils.

Tip: apply glue to both your natural nail + the tip

Applying the glue to both your nail + the fake nail will make sure it holds!

Tip: hold firmly for 30-60 seconds

Some nail glues say to hold for less, but 60 seconds is the magic number

Tip: leave the thumbs for last

You need your thumbs to press down on the nails, so leave them for last!

Tip: apply before bed and don't wet your hands for 8+ hours

Keep nails as dry as possible and avoid oils. Apply before bed to give the glue time to cure!
